BLUEGRASS SOD:

For 35 years Springhill Sod Farm has been providing a premium blend of bluegrass sod for Gallatin Valley residences that is not only beautiful and will enhance the value of your home but will also give you years of enjoyment and stand up to the rigors of your family barbecues and volleyball games. We formulate our mix of six different varieties of bluegrass so that the sod will be healthy enough to resist the bugs and heat of mountain summers while being strong enough to handle the cold and frost of harsh Montana winters. NATIVE PURE BLEND FESCUE:

Springhill Sod Farm is proud to offer a new variety of sod—a pure strain of native Fescue. This Fescue Sod, that took 3 years to develop, is:

• Extremely drought tolerant
• Easily adaptable to poor soil types
• A very early “green up” in the spring
• Very native in appearance

Customers who want to mow less, have a more native feel to their xeriscape or burms for areas with little foot traffic can use this excellent sod to satisfy their needs.

FESCUE BLEND:

Springhill Sod Farm also offers a Fescue blend of sod that we feel will give you more flexibility in watering and mowing. Our Fescue, which is native to this region, offers great drought and shade tolerance and can easily adapt to poor soils. It is blended with a hardy, northern, strong performing variety of bluegrass that will give your lawn more color and wearability. Our fescue is much more affordable than other esoteric and hybridized bluegrasses.
